PRESENTS

Digital Assets Policy Safari (DAPS)

Designing the blue print for Kenya’s National Digital Assets Policy

About DAPS

As a key stakeholder in the digital assets space, the Blockchain Association of Kenya (BAK) has been closely monitoring the increasing policy and regulatory interest surrounding cryptocurrencies in Kenya. It is with great enthusiasm that we observe a noticeable shift in the regulatory perspective towards a more favourable outlook.

Given the evolving landscape of cryptocurrency regulations in Kenya, we will be hosting the Digital Assets Policy Safari as part of a comprehensive policy shaping and lobbying strategy to ensure the interests of the digital assets community are effectively represented.

Our Pillars

Blockchain Association of Kenya (BAK) aims to create an enabling environment for the digital assets ecosystem in Kenya by implementing this comprehensive approach to policy shaping and lobbying.

The Outcome

The insights from the event will provide a foundation for a detailed Digital Assets Policy Shaping Strategy and Report.

The objective of this report is to provide a guide with three key pillars:

The establishment of a collaboration-based approach and working relationship between the Digital Assets Industry and key regulators.

Legislative Recommendations

The Report will lay out foundations of Digital Assets Regulatory Framework and make recommendations that can be smoothly integrated into existing and new Legislation.

Consumer Protection Guide

The Report will lay out the foundations of a Digital Assets Consumer Protection Framework.
